Replica Data

The IMPO now has a license with Replica (https://www.replicahq.com/) for traffic data from mobile data sources. This replaces our previous StreetLight license. All the IMPO’s member agencies will have direct access to the Replica tools. There is no limit to the number of users an agency can have and there are no use restrictions. Anyone with an email domain from one of the IMPO’s member agencies can create a Replica account.

What is Replica?

Replica is a company that provides data about the built environment and the ways people interact with it. With Replica, you now have access to multiple datasets and metrics across mobility, demographics, economic activity, and infrastructure.

  • Replica's seasonal mobility model (Places) is a high-fidelity activity-based travel model with network-link level granularity. Each model is a synthetically generated representation of the activities and movements of residents, visitors, and commercial vehicles on a typical weekday and weekend day for a given location and season. Places data is best used for in-depth point-in-time analysis that may benefit from the ability to do cross-tabular filtering and individual trip analysis.
  • Replica’s weekly data (Trends) is a nationwide activity-based model updated each week with near-real-time data on mobility, consumer spending, and land use down to the census tract level. Trends is designed for monitoring changes and impact over time.
