This is a clearing house for all of the information and resources needed by local public agencies (LPA).
Under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504, “no qualified individual with a disability in the United States shall be excluded from, denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program that either receives Federal Financial assistance or is conducted by any Executive agency or the United States Postal Service.” The Indianapolis MPO is a federally mandated agency established to assist with the planning and funding of transportation related efforts in Central Indiana. The Indianapolis MPO endorses the efforts of the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) to ensure Local Planning Agencies (LPA) are informed and comply with the regulations set forth by Section 504 of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Title VI was enacted as part of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964. It prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. The Indianapolis MPO is a federally mandated agency established to assist with the planning and funding of transportation related efforts in Central Indiana. This is the latest version of the FHWA's report to describe how Federal-aid highways are funded. This report incorporates changes in funding procedures brought about by the 2012 enactment of Public Law 112-141, the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) and the 2015 enactment of Public Law 114-94, the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act.
