The Indianapolis MPO funded a small award for the Butler Arts Center Scholastic Art and Writing Competition to increase transportation planning exposure and interest to youth. The Scholastic Awards are open to teens in grades 7 – 12 from public, private, or home schools. Over 350,000 works across 29 categories of art and writing were accepted into the competition. The MPO selected two submissions for the award: Street View (Digital Art Category, Malaya Lee of Greenwood) and The Wanderer (Photography Category, Alyona Rosenthal of Columbus).
