As needed, the IRTC will assign certain tasks or responsibilities to a sub-committee (aka Task Force). These committees may meet outside of the regular IRTC schedule, and any sub-committee meetings will be added to the MPO's calendar.
The Complete Streets Task Force meets annually in response to the annual call for projects. The committee's primarily responsibility is to review recommended projects for compliance with the MPO's Complete Streets Policy and approve exceptions to the policy as allowed by the policy. Meetings are open to the public, and during each meeting, the Task Force will discuss and evaluate requests for policy exceptions, suggest revisions where appropriate, and vote on a recommendation.
This committee (made up of volunteer IRTC members) will meet bi-weekly to discuss any state legislation that impacts transportation. This committee will continue to meet unless and until such time that it is determined by the Executive Director to no longer be needed.
