Born and raised in Indianapolis, Kristyn discovered her interest in planning about halfway through her undergrad at Butler University while playing development-oriented games. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Affairs from Butler University (with high honors), then went to Ball State University for a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning. Here’s some Q&A so you can get to know her better.

Hobbies?

Spending as much time as possible with family, friends, and new baby Colin.

Pets?

10-year-old shepherd dog Sophia.

Favorite author, musician, actor or athlete?

I love watching college basketball. My junior + senior years at Butler were the back-to-back national championship runs and I was lucky enough to go to both Final Fours. Hard not to be a huge fan after being a part of all that excitement!

Favorite place to visit or vacation?

I love traveling as much as I can and exploring new places. Some of my past favorite vacations include a Mediterranean cruise where I visited Italy, Spain, and France. My husband and I were married in the Dominican Republic, and in the past year we traveled to Ireland. We are soon taking our 8-month-old son, Colin, to Thailand in Fall 2019.
