In late 2017 the Indianapolis MPO hired The Corradino Group to correct the location of our ARIES (Automated Reporting Information Exchange System) incapacitating and fatal crash records. The 2012-2019 incapacitating and fatal crash records have been corrected, working record by record and reading through each police report to ensure that the location was accurately placed. Over 17,000 records have been corrected to date. The MPO developed a dashboard for its Local Planning Agencies and the public to view the corrected incapacitating and fatal crash data between 2015-2019. With the change in definition for “Incapacitating Injury” at the State level in 2014, the MPO removed 2012-2014 crash data from the dashboard, but is willing to share the information with its LPA’s upon request. Please contact Jennifer Dunn for more information.
