The Regional Rapid Transit Study (RTS), known as "Directions", is a comprehensive study of rapid transit in the greater Indianapolis area that began in 2003. The process will examine rapid transit service for the region and answer the questions raised during the ConNECTions  (NorthEast Corridor Transportation - Responses to Key Questions - 2001) study.

The Directions study is multi-phased and will determine a preferred system of transit corridors and technology(ies). The Indianapolis Regional Transportation Council (IRTC) and the public will be engaged throughout the study process.

Please visit the special study website. You will find information on the Study background and the first two phases of the Study. There is also information on next steps, a Land Use Study that is part of DiRecTionS, as well as other related information and surveys when available. Please check out the site and visit it regularly for more information!
