Long Range Transportation Plan

The Indianapolis Long RangeTransportation Plan (LRTP) is a document that is long-range in scope and helps guide the development of the area's transportation system through the year 2030 and is amended and updated once a year or as changing conditions and community needs dictate.

With the help of transportation planners, engineers, elected officials and the public, the plan ensures facilities and services required to support the mobility needs of the community and its future growth are anticipated and available.

Please follow the links on the left to access information on the current Long Range Transportation Plan and Air Quality Conformity. You can download information on  Air Quality Conformity under new State Implementation Plan here - posted 1/16/08.

The MPO is also undergoing a an update of the Long Range Transportation Plan, please follow the links for more information.  In 2006, the Indianapolis Regional Tranportation Council approved Goals and Objectives to guide the LRTP update.
