Transportation Enhancement Program (TE)
Transportation Enhancement (TE) funds give local government agencies opportunities to enhance local transportation and also provide amenities to the community such as safe bicycle and pedestrian trails/facilities, scenic enhancements, historic building restoration, and even transportation museums. Twelve categories exist within this statewide competitive funding process. Here is FHWA's website that provides guidance from FHWA on Transportation Enhancement activities.
2009 INDOT Call for TE Applications (PDF)
August 14, 2009 is the deadline for all applications submitted directly to the Indianapolis MPO
Please note that all TE Applications for projects within Marion County that are on the City of Indianpolis Right-of-Way must follow the City of Indianapolis' Transportation Enhancement application procedures, download here (Adobe Acrobat Reader required)
For TE project applications located within the Metropolitan Urbanized Area of the MPO and outside of the City of Indianapolis, the MPO's application procedures can be downloaded here.
