Transportation Enhancement Program (TE)

Transportation Enhancement (TE) funds give local government agencies opportunities to enhance local transportation and also provide amenities to the community such as safe bicycle and pedestrian trails/facilities, scenic enhancements, historic building restoration, and even transportation museums. Twelve categories exist within this statewide competitive funding process. Here is FHWA's website that provides guidance from FHWA on Transportation Enhancement activities.

Please note that all TE Applications for projects within Marion County that are on the City of Indianpolis right-of-way must follow the City of Indianapolis' Transportation Enhancement application procedures.

For TE project applications located within the Metropolitan Urbanized  Area of the MPO and outside of the City of Indianapolis, the MPO's application procedures can be downloaded here.

There will be no 2010 call for Transportation Enhancement projects.
Please view this letter from INDOT for more information.
